The project "Surviving off of Garbage" was developed by Violeta Sejdiu and Lira Gjikolli during the Design Marathon 02 workshop held in September 2022 in Prishtina.

Using speculative design methods, this idea was conceived to play with human imagination about the possibilities of an apocalypse - but to provide concrete solutions to address survival in case the user actually finds themselves in such a situation. "Surviving off Garbage" contains a "survival kit" that holds three simple tools and a guide on how to use these tools to survive natural disasters by reusing plastic waste that is accessible to everyone, anytime and anywhere.

Plastic waste, based on a creative approach, can be used in simple ways to provide food, filter water, or even as a lifesaving tool in the event of floods.
